Real Madrid determined to strengthen the attack

Jose Mourinho has not given up on his two main targets for adding to Real Madrid’s attacking line up. Manchester City and Spain midfielder David Silva has been brilliant at Euro 2012 so far and Real Madrid would love to add his qualities to the squad.

Brazilian midfield starlet Lucas Moura is the other major target for Mourinho. The 19-year old has been in sparkling form for Sao Paulo and Brazil, nut Madrid face strong competition from Chelsea and Inter Milan for his services.

Neither of these players will be easy to acquire, however, even for Real Madrid and the special one. Sao Paulo have already rejected a bid of around 40 million euros from Chelsea, according to Talksport, and his advisers are trying to convince him that he would be better off staying in Brazil for another year or two.

Silva has just won the English Premier league with Manchester City and he is a key player for them. Roberto Mancini will do anything he can to keep his mercurial playmaker, and Silva seems happy and settled at the club.Last year he told Spanish radio, “Madrid and Barcelona are great teams, but I’m happy here and I’d like to stay here for many years.”

During his tour of Asia, Jose Mourinho has complained about the press coverage of Spain at Euro 2012. He believes the five Madrid players do not get enough credit and stated that Spain and Barcelona are two different entities.
