?Valencia have requested permission to make the emergency signing of Real Madrid defender Javi Sanchez outside of the transfer window, after Ezequiel Garay suffered a season-ending injury.
The Argentine defender was substituted during los Ches’ 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo, and scans showed that a knee injury will keep him out of action for the rest of this campaign.

Although the transfer is yet to be granted, there is another hitch in the negotiations between the two sides. Valencia are keen to sign the defender permanently at the end of the season, whilst offering los Merengues a future buy-back clause, should they want to bring him back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
But ?Madrid do not want to allow the centre-back to leave permanently, as they see great potential in their academy product. But Los Blancos are wiling to grant a short-term move for Sanchez, given his lack of opportunities in the Valladolid first team thus far.
Valladolid will not put up a fight against the decision to recall Sanchez either, as they do not want to risk closing the door on potential future loan deals with the Spanish giants.
