Reinier Jesus Real Madrid Contract Details Revealed as Player Prepares to Put Pen to Paper

?Reinier Jesus has agreed a six-and -a-half year deal with Real Madrid, with the move set to be officially completed on January 19.

The 17-year-old has emerged as one of world football’s brightest young talents. Since breaking into the first team back in August, he has managed six goals and two assists in just 14 appearances for Flamengo.

As a result, he had attracted plenty of attention from numerous European giants. However, ?Real Madrid have now seemingly won the race for the youngster, after they ?agreed to pay out his €30m release clause. But, the deal won’t be completed until January 19 – the player’s 18th birthday – in order to comply with FIFA transfer laws regarding youth players.

?AS are now reporting that the Flamengo starlet has agreed to put pen to paper on a six-and-a-half-year deal. The teenager only signed a contract extension with the Brazilian club in early November, but this saw his release clause halved. Real ?expressed their interest in Reinier after his release clause was slashed, contacting the club over a potential deal.

The report from AS states that his release clause was lowered at the player’s request. It further notes that 80% of the €30m fee (24m) will go to Flamengo, while his family and agent will each net 10% (3m).

Reinier’s father – who lived in Spain for three years – his mother and his younger sister have all begun learning Spanish. The player has also begun taking lessons and will attempt to say a few words at his unveiling.

He is set to participate in a pre-Olympic tournament for Brazil’s Under-23 squad. The competition starts on 18 January, but it could see Reinier stay with them until 9 February should they reach the latter stages of the competition.

Reinier will eventually team up with fellow Brazilian Vinicius Jr., who was also brought in from Flamengo back in 2017 for around €45m.
