Real Valladolid Eager to Sign Real Madrid Wonderkid Reinier Jesus on Loan

?Real Valladolid are interested in taking new Real Madrid signing Reinier Jesus on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old has only recently moved to Real in a €35m deal from Flamengo and he has been expected to join up with the club’s reserve side while he adjusts to life in Spain.

However, according to ?Globoesporte, Valladolid have enquired about taking the teenager on loan for the rest of the season, and it is suggested that club president Ronaldo’s links with ?Real could work in their favour.

This is not the first time that Reinier has been linked with Valladolid. Speaking to ?Marca, manager Sergio González recently admitted that he would have no problem with Ronaldo trying to strike a deal for his fellow countryman.

Why not [sign Reinier]? If you have a footballer who needs minutes on the pitch, and we can offer them that, without guaranteeing it of course, we are delighted to consider it and to have more competition within the squad,” the Valladolid boss said.

Obviously, Ronaldo does have a fantastic relationship with Real, having racked up 104 goals in 177 appearances for the club between 2002 and 2007.

That link has been used to sign players in the past. Last summer, Valladolid brought in goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, centre-back Javi Sánchez and winger Jordi de Frutos on loan from Real, but things certainly did not go to plan.

In fact, both Lunin and De Frutos have since left the club after growing frustrated with a lack of minutes, while Sánchez is yet to even make a league appearance this season, so Real will certainly be hesitant of letting Reinier join the club.

It is certainly possible that Real could agree to let Reinier go, but only if Valladolid agree to play him. That could be ensured with something like a clause in the contract which would punish Valladolid financially if they do not use the Brazilian.

However, it does seem more likely that Real will look to keep him in the development side, so they can observe him and ensure he has the best chance of living up to his potential at the Santiago Bernabéu.
