Fans of the Madrid sides were asked which of their club legends they would like to have available for Saturday’s final at San Siro, with Zidane, Raul and Forlan all mentioned
Preparations for the Champions League final between Real and Atletico Madrid on Saturday are warming up nicely for what will be a pressure-cooker atmosphere at San Siro.
Not only will the final decide the European champions, but domestic pride comes into play as the fierce Madrid rivals go head to head.
With bragging rights on offer, Blancos fans were asked ‘If you could pick a Real Madrid legend to play in the final, who would that be?’
Answers ranged from Raul, who became the first player to score 50 Champions League goals back in 2005, Clarence Seedorf and current boss Zinedine Zidane.
When the same question was put to Atleti supporters, strikers Luis Argones, Diego Forlan and José Eulogio Gárate were all suggested.
