Former Real Madrid defender Cicinho has hailed Marcelo as the best left-back in the world ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final.
Los Blancos are preparing to face fierce rivals Atletico Madrid in the San Siro showpiece, which is a repeat of the 2014 final Marcelo scored in to help Real record a 4-1 victory after extra time.

Another world class left-back in the shape of Filipe Luis will take to the field in this year’s Champions League final but when asked who he thought was the best out of him and Marcelo, Cicinho was quick to claim there is no comparison.
“Marcelo, for sure,” he told Goal. “There is no comparison. For me, Marcelo is the best left back in the world.
“His quality is incomparable. For me, while he is playing, Marcelo will be the left back of the Brazilian national team.”
