The Real Madrid Castilla head coach has revealed he is a big fan of Chelsea’s winger and expects the Belgian to return to his best form soon
Zinedine Zidane has revealed Eden Hazard is his third favourite player – behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – describing the Real Madrid target as “spectacular”.
The Belgian winger has been linked with a move the Santiago Bernabeu in recent months following Chelsea’s disappointing start to the new Premier League season.
Zidane, who manages Real’s reserve team, says he enjoys watching Hazard play and is convinced the 24-year-old will soon return to his best.
“After (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to watch him play,” the former France international said.
“If I see him playing for Real Madrid? I can only say I love the player.
“I have no doubt he will soon recover his form.”
Former Lille player Hazard joined the Stamford Bridge club for £32 million in June 2012 and won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award last season.
