Bale hails 'amazing' Real Madrid attack

The 25-year-old is enjoying playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema and hopes to keep improving in order to win more titles with los Blancos

Gareth Bale has hailed Real Madrid’s forward trio of himself, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as an “amazing” attacking threat.

Madrid broke the world transfer record to bring the Welsh winger to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2013, and since then he has cemented his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The 25-year-old has won four titles in his time in Madrid, including the Champions League last season, and he hopes his on-field relationship with Ronaldo and Benzema can help the team continue to pick up silverware in 2015.

“It’s an amazing line-up that we have. The three of us enjoy playing together up front,” Bale said to AS. “I think we work really well and we showed that by winning all the trophies.

“It’s an amazing attacking threat that we have, and it’s one we want to keep improving.

“I wanted to come to Real Madrid to win trophies and play with the best players, and that’s what I’ve done in the first year.

“Hopefully I can keep improving and win a lot more trophies in the future, doing the best I can.

Madrid have won their last 22 competitive outings but suffered a 4-2 friendly defeat against AC Milan in Dubai on Tuesday. However, ahead of their Liga visit to Valencia on Sunday, Bale has insisted the players remain fixated with winning every game.

“Sometimes when you go on a winning run you can get a bit complacent, but for us in the dressing room we all feel determined and 100 per cent focused to win every game,” he added.

“It’s another game that we want to win and be prepared for 100%. Hopefully we can get three points and kick off the new year with a good start.”
