The Spaniard is looking forward to fulfilling his dream of playing in a Champions League final but has told his team-mates not to let the occasion get to them
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has told his side not to feel under pressure to win the Champions League final on Saturday.
The Santiago Bernabeu side have long been chasing their 10th European Cup and have reached the final of the competition for the first time since 2002.
The former Sevilla man believes that his side are being rewarded for their hard work and believes there are no favourites for the Lisbon clash with Atletico Madrid.
“We look at it more collectively and it’s the reward for the work the team has put in over the years,” he told AS.
“It’s a unique moment, a dream and a reward for all our sacrifice. There should be no pressure or obsession. It’s our dream to win the Champions League and we share that with the fans.
“It’s a tremendous joy to finish the season in good form. I feel great and I’m doing well in front of goal too.
“Obviously, we will try to hurt [Atletico] with our weapons and our football and we must not invent or change the philosophy that has got us here.
“There is a title at stake and therefore the chances are 50-50.”
