Barcelona or Real Madrid – which Liga giants' new stadium is better?

Both Spanish sides have revealed plans to expand their current grounds, with at least €400 million being splashed in pursuit of the best home on the planet

Real Madrid and Barcelona have just unveiled their stadium plans – but which one is better?

The Catalans unveiled plans to revamp Camp Nou on Monday, expanding the seating space to over 105,000 before 2021.

The project will cost an estimated €420 million, with a roof running all the way around the stadium. Work is expected to start in 2017 and will take three-and-a-half seasons.

Previously, the Blancos had revealed their new Santiago Bernabeu plans before the end of January.

Like Barca’s expensive blueprint, Real Madrid’s expansion will cost €400m with a retractable roof with club president Florentino Perez hoping to make the ground “the best in the world”.
