The flamboyant Juventus attacker says although the Portuguese star has had an impressive start to the season he is not jealous of his talents
Juventus attacker Carlos Tevez has insisted that he is not envious of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League encounter against Real Madrid.
The Portugal international has been in sublime form this campaign, netting 20 goals in 15 appearances, yet Tevez sees no reasons to be jealous.
“Ronaldo is a great player, but I’ve got nothing to be envious of,” the Argentine attacker stated at a press conference.
Tevez then went on to highlight the importance of Tuesday’s game for Juventus’ Champions League ambitions and stressed that they cannot afford to spill points again following their difficult start in Europe.
“The three fixtures that remain are all finals for us. I hope Juventus-Real Madrid proves to be a good game all round,” he continued.
“We will be playing in our own stadium and the supporters will be behind us for 90 minutes.”
Juventus currently sit third in Group B with two points from three games, with Madrid leading the section with nine points.
