Real Madrid will keep fighting until the end, says Morata

The young striker realises that los Blancos face a tough task in retaining their Liga title, but is refusing to give up just yet

Alvaro Morata remains hopeful that Real Madrid can successfully defend their Primera Division title and has stressed that they will not stop fighting.

The Santiago Bernabeu side are currently trailing leaders Barcelona by 13 points, yet the promising attacker remains optimistic about his side’s chances of La Liga glory.

“The team are in pretty good shape now. We’ve recovered some ground in la Liga. We know it will be complicated to win the league, but we’re Real Madrid and we’re going to keep fighting until it’s over,” he was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.

The striker then looked ahead to this weekend’s league match against Celta Vigo and stressed that the Galicians should not be underestimated.

“They need the points. We have to be cautious because we lost the Copa del Rey match we played there and had to fight back in the Bernabeu.

“They’re certainly a team that could win and we have to be careful. They’ve got tremendous skill up front and it’s clear that any team can beat you.”
