It seems that Jose Mourinho will not be challenging Chelsea for the signature of young Brazilian star Lucas Moura. The real Madrid coach was at the friendly match between Brazil and Denmark and was rumoured to be thinking of offering Sao Paulo an increase on the £32 million that Chelsea bid last week.
Apparently the special one has decided that 19-year old Moura is not quite ready for the cut and thrust of Spain’s La Liga and the Champion’s league. He thinks the young midfielder would be better off staying with his club in Brazil for amother year. If Chelsea do not get their man, then Real Madrid could be signing him next year.
Turkish international Hamit Altintop has called a halt to his time at Madrid and signed for Galatasaray. Frustrated with his lack of opportunities. The 29-year old versatile midfielder is worried about his international career if he continues to sit on the bench for his club.
Nuri Sahin, international team mate of Altintop has vowed to stay at Madrid and believes that if he can avoid the injuries that plagued this season, he can become a valuable part of Mourinho’s team.
Finally, press rumours are suggesting that Didier Drogba could be linking up with his former manager at the Bernabeu. Drogba is available on a free transfer from Chelsea and has been offered fortunes by Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua. Mourinho is going to try and persuade the 34-year old to stay in Europe and fight for top honours with Madrid.
