Real Madrid target Sergio Aguero vows to stay at Manchester City

There has been a lot of speculation that Jose Mourinho would be bringing 23-year old stroking sensation to Real Madrid this summer. Whether it would involve a swap with Aguero’s Argentinean team mate Gonzalo Higuain or not was unclear. The theory was that Aguero was using Manchester City as a stepping stone to Real, as his former club, Athletico Madrid, would obstruct any transfer between the city rivals.

Any proposed move seems to have been abandoned, however, as the player nicknamed Kun due to his resemblance of a cartoon character has told Argentinean radio “My future is decided and I stay at Manchester City.”

We may never know if City’s dramatic, last minute capture of the English title, with Kun scoring the decisive winning goal, was the deciding factor. The player is leaving no doubt about his decision though, saying “I want to stay here and I am happy. City can be level with Madrid and Barcelona and I want to go and play in the Champion’s league here.”

Now Mourinho must look elsewhere to increase Madrid’s striking options. He is not desperate, however, as his team smashed the record of goals scored in La Liga this season.
