Report Claims That Arsenal’s Frustrated Alexis Sanchez ‘Desperately’ Wants a Move to Real Madrid

The Alexis Sanchez transfer saga continues to trundle onward after the Chilean ace’s desired move to Manchester City was blocked by Arsenal on transfer deadline day, and it’s now emerged that the frustrated attacker ‘desperately’ wants a switch to Real Madrid – according to a report published by Spanish outlet Diario Gol.

The Gunners were unable to successfully land a replacement for Sanchez, meaning that City’s last-ditch attempts to prise him away from the Emirates were futile.

Arsenal FC v 1. FC Koeln - UEFA Europa League

Despite an exceedingly lofty sum of around £90m being supposedly lodged by Arsenal for AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, Sanchez was stuck and was subsequently forced to endure another season in the south of England, opposed to the north.

Sanchez is still said to be keen on a move to the Etihad to link-up with Pep Guardiola, although the 28-year-old’s agent has allegedly made contact with the Galacticos in order to make a proposed deal which would see the north Londoners’ talisman move to the Santiago Bernabeu happen.

After failing to cash-in on want-away Sanchez, Arsenal are resigned to losing their number 10 for free next summer, unless a contract renewal is miraculously accepted by the South American, although the chances of him putting pen to paper to prolong his stay at his current employers looks terribly slim.

As it’s known, Sanchez played under ‘Pep’ at Barcelona, and the prospect of reuniting with the Spanish boss for the Sky Blues was more than tantalising for the prolific offensive threat.

However, with Los Blancos now being placed within the frame as a supposed suitor, Sanchez’s reputation could take a beating if he was to sign for Madrid, given that they are indeed arch rivals with the Blaugrana, the club to which initially helped him reach stardom in the modern game.

Real Madrid Eye Potential Move for Harry Kane Should They Fail in Landing Alexis Sanchez

Real Madrid are looking to bring Arsenal’s star man Alexis Sanchez back to Spain, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, but will turn their attentions to Tottenham’s Harry Kane as a secondary option.

After Manchester City’s failed attempt to lure the Chilean away from north London on deadline day, Sanchez remains at Arsenal, with his contract set to run out at the end of the season. The Gunners’ failed bid for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar meant they were forced to keep their footballing totem for another season.

Tottenham Hotspur v Borussia Dortmund - UEFA Champions League

Los Blancos are said to be keen to sign him during the January window, which would also benefit Arsenal and save them from letting their star winger leave on a free transfer. Don Balon claim that Arsenal will allow him to speak to foreign clubs come the winter, but only with a view to sign him when the summer window comes around.

The Spanish and European champions are also said to be after Tottenham’s talisman Kane, who looks set to continue his habit of goalscoring this season. With 77 goals in 107 Premier League games, Kane could be a potential long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who turns 33 next year.

With two Premier League golden boots in two years, Real Madrid would be hard pushed to find a goalscorer with as much natural talent as England’s centre forward.

In addition, Gareth Bale’s stuttering career in Madrid has seen many fans calling for his transfer away from the Bernabeu. After being booed off the pitch in their Champions League opener again APOEL, it seems Bale has fallen out of love with the fans.

Both Sanchez and Kane could replace the Welshman should Real deem him surplus to requirements.

VIDEO: Real Madrid Star Martin Odegaard Looks Like He’s Starting to Excel on Loan at Heerenveen

?He was tipped as one of the most promising young players in recent times.

Martin Odegaard was just 16 years of age when he was signed by Real Madrid for a fee of around £2.5m, and despite the fact it feels as if he’s been on the footballing scene for quite some time now, he doesn’t actually turn 19 until December.

Real Madrid CF v Getafe CF - La Liga

He made his debut for Real Madrid on the final day of the 2014/15 season, where he came on as a second-half substitute to replace none other than the club’s record goalscorer and the Ballon d’Or holder at the time Cristiano Ronaldo, no pressure.

Despite the fact that the manager at the time Carlo Ancelotti described the substitution as nothing more than a “PR exercise”, it was a remarkable achievement for the 16-year-old.

FBL-NED-HEERENVEEN

However despite making his debut for the side, Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez and then Zinedine Zidane all felt that Odegaard wasn’t ready for first-team football at the Bernabeu just yet. Zidane decided to loan the Norwegian international to Dutch side Heerenveen for 18 months in January.

So after being labeled as the hottest youngster in world football three years ago, exactly how good is Odegaard currently? Video highlights have emerged on Twitter showing Odegaard in action against Excelsior on Saturday.

As you can tell from the highlights, Odegaard seems to be adjusting to senior football nicely. He looks faster, stronger and more confident than we’ve seen him, with his range of passing standing out as a major strength of the 18-year-old.

If he continues to play at this kind of level, Zidane will surely be tempted to include Odegaard in his plans for the 2018-19 campaign.

And what do you need to become the biggest club in world football? Only the best players of course. So how do you go about signing, say, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? We’re glad you asked:

Youtuber Mgh’s video about negotiating with the two megastars in the recently released FIFA 18 demo went viral over the weekend as fans ran the rule over just how difficult it is to land them in game.

The verdict? Not so hard, providing you have the money to afford them. Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo – front and centre of FIFA 18 – proves to be the more difficult to prise away but, offer the right cash and wages, and you’ll nab yourself the Real superstar with a click of the fingers!

Real Madrid Confirm Theo Hernandez Suffered Dislocated Shoulder Against Real Sociedad

Real Madrid have confirmed that young left-back Theo Hernandez suffered a partial dislocation of his shoulder in Sunday’s 3-1 victory against Real Sociedad.

In a rare opportunity to stake a claim at left-back, due to Marcelo’s suspension, Hernandez played 90 minutes at the Anoeta but complained about shoulder pain afterwards.

It has now been confirmed by the club, via Marca, that the 19-year-old has suffered a partial dislocation of his right shoulder. It is undetermined just how long Hernandez will be out for, but his recovery will ‘continue to be assessed’ by the club.

The impact of the injury on the Real Madrid squad will be lessened by the return of Marcelo from his suspension but will come as a blow for Hernandez who put in an impressive performance against Real Sociedad.

The young Frenchman completed 100% of his tackles and was a threat in attack with three crosses and two chances created. It was a glimpse of Hernandez’s form on loan at Alaves last season, which earned the teenager a big move to the Santiago Bernabeu from city rivals Atletico.

It’s not all been bad news for Hernandez, as it was revealed that the 19-year-old is on the shortlist to win the 2017 Golden Boy award, alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The award rewards the best player under the age of 21 and has previously been won by the likes of Paul Pogba, Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi. The winner will be announced in October.
