Real Madrid Ready to Propose Player Plus Cash Deal for Liverpool Star Forward Mohamed Salah

?A sure contender for signing of the season has to be Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward is the Premier League’s top scorer so far this season with 13 goals.

Salah has also contributed a further four assists for Liverpool this term, making the around £35m they paid for him in the summer seem a bargain.

But being in such prolific form is also bound to attract interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. In what would be a very surprising move, reports suggest that Real Madrid are devising a player plus cash deal for Mohamed Salah.

According to the notorious Spanish rumour mill which is ?Don Balon, Real Madrid would be willing to offer Liverpool cash plus winger Lucas Vazquez in exchange for Salah. 26-year-old Vazquez has had not where near the prolific season which Salah has had. His limited game time for Madrid this season has seen Vazquez manage just one league goal this season.

With Real Madrid struggling this season, president Florentino Perez is said to be determined to bolster the club’s attacking line. Los Blancos are currently in fourth place in La Liga table, eight points behind leaders Barcelona.

Vazquez is reportedly out of favour in Madrid, and the club would be willing to let him leave the club. But with the form that Salah is in, the deal that Madrid propose is certainly not a like for like swap of talent.

??With 19 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this season, Real Madrid would have to cough up a lot of cash to tempt Liverpool to part ways with their star man.

Salah is proving to be a vital player for the Reds. The Egyptian has been involved in half of Liverpool’s 34 Premier League goals this term.

Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla Set to Be Offered to Newcastle United in January Transfer Window

?Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is set to be offered to Newcastle United in January’s upcoming transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

With Newcastle struggling at the foot of the Premier League table, manager Rafael Benitez is keen to strengthen his side come January.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels left Newcastle in the summer to join Belgian Champions Anderlecht on loan, while both Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot have failed to cement the position for themselves.

Having already worked with the experienced stopper, Benitez could be reunited with his fellow Spaniard as soon as January.

Casilla is thought to be surplus to requirements at Madrid, having only made ten appearances for Zidane’s side this season.

The 31-year-old was signed by Benitez from Espanyol back in 2015 for £4.2m. However, since his arrival, he has struggled to displace Keylor Navas and with Madrid reportedly ready to sign Athletic Bilbao’s Kepa Arrizabalaga in January, Casilla will find himself further down the pecking order.

Los Blancos are said to be willing to allow the keeper to leave on loan or even on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer market.

Whether Newcastle take up Madrid’s offer remains to be seen, however, with a reported limited budget, and Newcastle in dire need of some quality additions, the reunion must seem appealing to Benitez. ?

Real Madrid Stopper Keylor Navas Determined to Remain at the Bernabeu Despite Imminent Replacement

?Real Madrid stopper Keylor Navas is reportedly keen to stay at the Bernabeu despite the imminent arrival of his successor Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is known to not be Navas’ biggest fan at the club, and rumours suggest that the Spanish champions are searching for a more ‘Galactico worthy’ man between the sticks.

However, the Costa Rican is said to be devoted to his current side, and is happy to let someone come in and take his place without feeling the need to leave.

According to Marca (via Calcio Mercato): “Navas is insisting on the fact that his future is in God’s hands, and that he can’t change anything in a situation which he doesn’t control”.

Real manager Zinedine Zidane has been strongly linked with a €25m move for Athletic Bilbao (and second choice Spain goalkeeper) Kepa Arrizabalaga in January – a move which would almost certainly see Navas dropped into the second choice stopper.

However, to further add to the 30-year-old’s worry, Madrid have been heavily reported to be after two of the Premier League’s best goalkeeping talents. Both David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois are within sights of Los Blancos, and the club may well make a move for either player come summer.

If that were to happen, Manchester United (de Gea’s current club) have previously shown interest in Navas’ services, as have French giants Paris Saint-Germain. It’s hardly as if Navas woud be short of options, carrying a La Liga title and two Champions League medals to his name.

However, it may take a lot to force him out of the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid ‘Make Contact’ With Agent of Manchester City Star After Scintillating Patch of Form

?Real Madrid have made contact with the agent of Kevin De Bruyne with a view to potentially signing the player, according to the Daily Mirror.

De Bruyne has been the Premier League’s player of the season so far after a string of stunning displays for Manchester City, who went 11 points clear at the top after Sunday’s derby win over Manchester United.

?Los Blancos have reported made contact with De Bruyne’s agent, Patrick De Koster, asking about his availability and made it clear they are interested in bringing him to the Bernabeu, but no formal approach for the 26-year-old has made.

De Bruyne is Manchester City’s club record signing following his £54m move from Wolfsburg in 2015, and spent two unsuccessful years at Chelsea between 2012 and 2014 before Jose Mourinho sold him to the German side after deciding he wasn’t good enough for a future at Stamford Bridge.

4 Reasons Why Real Madrid Should Be Confident About Beating PSG in the Champions League Last 16

Real Madrid will play Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16 of the Champions League after the turn of the year, the side dubbed as the one to avoid in the competition.

The clash will see Neymar revisit old La Liga rivalries with Los Blancos, including the 2017 Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, as the two meet initially at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium before the return leg at the Parc des Princes.

However, despite Les Parisiens being seen as one of, if not the strongest force in this year’s competition, the Spanish capital side may not be too concerned about facing their fellow world-renowned counterparts, and here are four reasons why.

1. Real Madrid Hold the Advantage in History

In the competition’s current format, Real have never been beaten by PSG, with the two coming together in the 2015/16 season during the group stages.

On both occasions, Los Blancos were able to record successive shut outs against their French counterparts, recording a 1-0 victory in Spain while securing a goalless draw in Paris.

Although Les Parisiens are a more evolved beast today compared to that of two years ago, Madrid will certainly hold the psychological edge over their opposition – with several players still within Zinedine Zidane’s ranks evident during both nights.

2. PSG Have Shown Vulnerability

For long periods of this campaign it was difficult to see where Paris’ weaknesses lay, however recently have shown they are prone to the odd slip up.

This was no more evident than in their last Champions League outing with Bayern Munich, where the Bundesliga outfit, who were on the receiving end of a 3-0 steamrolling earlier in the term, dominated the 90 minutes and ran out deserved 3-1 victors.

The Bavarians’ victory also came just days after PSG came unstuck at mid-table Strasbourg, marking the first time Unai Emery’s side had suffered back-to-back defeats since 2014.

The fact that both an underperforming Bayern and a side from the lower echelons of French football have been able to overcome the big-money spenders will give Real confidence that they could also do the same to Paris.

3. No Last-16 ‘Curse’ for Seven Years

From the years 2004 to 2010 it was this very day Madrid fans feared most – the draw for the Champions League last-16.

For six seasons in a row Los Blancos were dumped out of the competition in the first knockout round following the group stages, with Juventus, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Roma, Liverpool and Olympique Lyonnais all getting the better of the Spanish giants.

However, since that point Real have not tasted defeat at this stage of the Champions League, unlike PSG who exited the competition during the round of 16 last year.

4. Real Remain Strong Against the French

Since the already alluded to last-16 exit against Lyon during the 2009/10 campaign, Real have come up against French sides on 12 occasions since in the competition, and claimed victory 11 times.

Although the only blotch on that record is their goalless stalemate with PSG in 2015, they still seem to have the perfect game plan for facing their Ligue 1 counterparts.

5. Can PSG Handle Pressure? History Suggests Not

Over the past two seasons, Paris have been placed in two high-profile precarious situations, where the odds were so much in their favour that it seemed impossible to see anything other than a win for the French side.

One of which being this year’s group stage, where despite Emery’s side coming out top of the pile, they showed complacency in their final fixture against Bayern.

Had the Bavarians tucked away just two more of their hatful of chances on that night at the Allianz Arena, PSG for the second season in a row would have surrendered the most unlikely of advantages.

Of course the second was 12 months previously, where Barcelona somehow performed the comeback of all comebacks, to book their place in the quarter-finals after overturning a 4-0 deficit from the first leg – claiming a 6-1 victory in the Camp Nou.

Ironically Neymar played a key role in that Barca comeback, however in recent times PSG have struggled to handle intense pressure when it’s needed most, and that is something that could well work in the favour of Real.
