The goalkeeper was whistled and jeered by the Real Madrid supporters during Saturday’s 2-0 win over Deportivo, but he is not bothered by the criticism
Iker Casillas has shrugged off criticism from Real Madrid fans, insisting that they are “always right”.
The goalkeeper was guilty of a big mistake during the 4-0 derby drubbing at the hands of Atletico Madrid and was booed by sections of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna.
Casillas, though, was not bothered by the supporters’ venting their frustrations and has set his mind on playing as well as he can,
“Everyone can think what they want,” he told Cuatro.
“With the fans, they are right about everything. I just stay concentrated on playing and doing my best.”
Casillas has started all but two of Madrid’s league games this season, conceding 20 goals in 21 games and keeping 10 clean sheets.
