Galliani denies transfer talks between Milan & Madrid

The Rossoneri have been linked with several Blancos players, including former San Siro favourite Kaka

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has dismissed speculation that the club have opened talks with Real Madrid about potentially signing a number of the Spanish side’s stars.

With Jose Mourinho set to depart the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, it has been claimed that a number of players will follow the Portuguese out of the exit door, with Kaka, Luka Modric, Pepe, Angel Di Maria and Diego Lopez all said to be of interest to the Rossoneri.

Galliani, though, insists that he has not yet spoken with anyone from los Blancos – or any other club for that matter, explaining that the Diavolo’s directors are solely focused on securing Champions League football for next season.

“There have been no talks [with Madrid] and until next Monday we will not be thinking of the transfer market but winning in Siena,” he is quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.

“We will know our destiny on Sunday, so we are solely concentrated on that.”

For that very reason, Galliani also refused to be drawn on the future of Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri, who has reportedly been deemed surplus to requirements by owner Silvio Berlusconi.

“Until Sunday evening, we will speak neither of the transfer market nor coaches,” added Galliani, who is in Amsterdam to attend the Europa League final between Chelsea and Benfica.

Milan will finish third in Serie A if they win their last game of the season away to Siena this weekend.
